I just got off ebay this week the books I need to study. They are a bit more in depth than the lessons I used to have in Nav and Principles of Flight when I was an Air Cadet!
No doubt if you know me I will be 'bearding' you soon with facts about static preasure increases and secondary effects of the control surfaces. You have been warned!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteJust be careful when you get the books from eBay that you've got the latest versions. This is particularly important for the Air Law exam.
Which series of books have you gone for?
Andy
Hi Andy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. I was aware of this and spent a bit of time searching for as up-to-date books offset against price and ended up settling for a set of edition 6 for £20. I will get the latest edition of the Air Law in the near future.
Cheers,
Jeff
That's good. Can't go wrong at that price, and it's only likely to be Air Law that changes on a regular basis I'd have thought.
ReplyDeleteWhich set did you go for? Thom? AFE? OAT?
On my first attempt I read through the Thom books, and found them heavy going. I had much better luck with the AFE ones second time round.

I am using the Thom books. At the moment I'm just flicking through them all. They seem to compliment each other quite well. For example I read a lesson in book one then read a chapter in the technical manual to understand the science behind it all.
ReplyDeleteAh ok. Good luck with the exams then. As I said in my previous comment, for some reason I just didn't really get on with the Thom books.
